5* matt hughes over bj penn
i will keep this bumped during the course of the week so as many people can view. the ufc forum doesnt get many viewers(and i dont know why cause its a great sport)this is just a friendly reminder because everyone including me has their minds tuned into football. as i told you before ufc is a great investment but the best part of ufc is the scheduling. as most of your mainstream sports are already over with by the time fighting begins.
matt hughes currently -206 at pinny. the line could come back down again for im sure there will be alot of penn backers. i was on sherdog and got ripped for my view on the fight and i think im done with that site. they are such children over there. i did have silva last week in a pride fight at+170 but he did lose. okay im rambling..sorry
is bj penn a good fighter...yes! is bj penn a worthy title challenger...yes! did bj penn beat matt hughes...yes! BUT that was almost 3 years ago and back then hughes relied on his incredible wrestling ability and strength to ground and pound opponents. his bjj and defense were limited. fast forward 3 yrs later and his skills have improved dramatically! he is one of the most complete fighters on the planet. the militech camp has done wonders with him. bj penn has lost something since leaving ufc. he is off a defeat to gsp and is filling in for this fight because gsp was injured. matt hughes has something to prove in this fight. and when matt hughes has something to prove...HE IS MONEY! like i said its just something to remember on saturday. but its definitely a fight that can increase your bankroll a little more after your big winning football saturday or take the sting off a little if football wasnt good to you. either way matt hughes will still be the champ after saturday night.

I see that Micelli is also big on Hughes in this spot. Got him at around -16 weeks ago.

You think there's still good value at current price?

hughes is definitely the right side. glad to see your on it. some people worry about the discrepancy in price they get. but i dont. you got him at -169. i got him at -206. regardless this will cash. :toast: :money:

hughes back down to -199. very odd money movement ive seen in awhile. i know they set it too low in the beginning and got up to a high of -216. hopefully penn backers are going to keep on lowering it by fight time.

I like your analysis, but I don't like the fact that everyone here gives B.J. any chance. He's a proven fighter in his career and he pounded St.Pierre's face pretty good with his punches. St.Pierre only got the decision because of his takedowns.
